Devi Sri Prasad

Devi Sri Prasad is an Indian Music Composer and Director, Choreographer, Singer, and Lyricist. He admires legendary singers S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, S. Janaki, and K. S. Chithra very much. He made his debut in Malayalam cinema with the film Kandahar, which stars Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan, and Surya Sivakumar in lead roles. He is inspired by Maestro Illayaraja music a lot. Devi Sri Prasad was born on 2nd August 1979 at Vedurupaka, East Godavari Dist.

He was interested in music from his childhood. He has composed music for more than 100 films. He made his debut in Telugu music direction with Kodi Ramakrishna's film Devi in 1999. Later he worked on several projects in Telugu movies include Navvuthu Bathakalira, Kalusukovalani, Thotti Gang, Pournami, Kidnap, Shankar Dada Zindabad, Mallannaa, Namo Venkatesa, Simha Putrudu, Darammayilatho, Veerudokkade, Janatha Garage, Khaidi No. 150, etc. He made his debut in Tamil movie with 2003 film Ice directed by R. Raghuraj.

He has won nine Filmfare Awards, eight are Filmfare Best Music Director South Awards and one Special Jury Award, five CineMAA Awards for Best Music Director.
