Vignesh Shivan Biography

Vignesh Shivan is an Indian Film Director, Film Actor, Lyricist, Musician, Writer, Screenwriter, and Poet who predominantly worked in Tamil Cinema. Vignesh Shivan was born in Chennai City on the 18th of September 1985. Shivan's mother is Meena Kumar (Retired Police Officer). He also has a younger sister. Vignesh completed his schooling from Santhome Higher Secondary School, Mylapore.

Shivan debut film is Podda Podi released in 2012 got mixed reviews. His second film Naanum Rowdydhaan (2015), starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara as actors and Dhanush as a producer. He also won SIIMA Award for Best Director for this film. Now he is doing a project named Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal starring Vijay Sethupahti, Nayanthara, Samantha Akkineni and Parthiban in lead roles.
