Ponniyin Selvan is a Tamil-language historical drama movie written and directed by Mani Ratnam, jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. This film story is based on the classic novel Raja Raja Chozhan I, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Ponniyin Selvan has a star-studded cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jayaram Sarathkumar, Prabhu and Kishore.
